Looking for Idenity of a sea plane.

I am trying to find the idenity of a sea plane from the 30s.

Is is a mono plane flying boat with 3 engines mounted on over the wing.

I believe it may be a Liore-et Oliver product. I can't find a picture of it thought.

The description so far could fit a good dozen types, excepting the reference to L-et-O, and the thirties was a rich period for flying boats.

The 3 engines are standing on poles or supports. Its hard to describe from the view I had . It sort of looks like a DO 24 with th eengines over the wing on stilts

I think you got it Jiggers, one of three built. I-PLUS, I-PACE, and I-PLIO
flew for Italian airline, Ala Littoria until they were pressed into service
in 1940. They served, as far as I can tell from the French text, supporting
the African-theater...particularly Libya.

Well, I thought I knew my 'boats... but...

Having checked my refs, mainly the Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Aircraft (Orbis) I can confirm it's a Macchi M.C.100, as that's the photo used to illustrate the type in the entry! (Not that I'd have got it without the pointers and previous correct guesses.)

The M.C.94 was a twin engined flying boat (not unlike a lower winged Sikorsky S-43). The layout was kept for the M.C.99, another twin, but with 3 open gun positions, a crew of five and mainly wooden construction. Only one was built.

Then the very similar civilian M.C.100 came along, essentially like the M.C.99, but a civillian tri-motor powered by 3 800hp Alfa-Romeo 126RC 10 radials. It had a three crew cabin, plus another for 26 passengers, first flight being in Jan 1939.
