They've been ground running the Iraqi Fury at FAST Aero in Belgium again. Whether that means it is nearing a first flight or not, though, is another story, as it was run about 4 years ago then the engine came out again.

When my Dad got me first issue of Classic Wings Downunder in 1998 that Fury was in there, part of advertising for Panama Jack's and I was excited to see it fly. Still am!

Sounds like DC-7B N4887C will be attempting flight sometime today (7/16).

Not quite sure how the Delta Flight Museum plans on covering this. Anybody close to Coolidge Municipal?

On my plate:

Fox Moth at the Bushplane Museum in SSM, ON, summer.

Hornet Moth in Smith's Falls, ON, summer.

P-40 with new engine at VWoC, late summer.

Hurricane XII first flight after restoration, at VWoC, this fall.
