Australian Hudson

Over the years aircraft manufacturers sale teams have always tried to have a edge when selling their aircraft.
Well they must have thought that calling their Lockheed Hudson the Australian Hudson would give that country an identity that only they would have.
As this aircraft was sold around the world,does anyone have a manual out there that state that nations Lockheed Hudson.

No doubt the Australians bought enough Hudsons to get a custom owner's manual. And who knows, there may have been small differences between their version and those aircraft built for other countries? Quite the artifact, none the less. Thanks for showing us.

Australia purchased 50 Mark I and 50 Mark II Hudsons but both were fitted with Pratt & Whitney R-1830-SC3G engines as opposed to the usual Wright Cyclones. Therefore they were more like the Mark IV. I suppose it was convenient to differentiate by calling it the Australian Hudson.

Australian Hudson's had the 1820's fitted. The Beauforts had the 1830's fitted instead of the Hercules engines.

Australian Hudsons had the 1820's fitted.

To clarify. Australian Hudsons had P&W and Wright engines but the version to which this manual refers had P&W.
