Was anything new learned from the FHC Me-262 preview event today?

There is a short video published of Steve Hinton saying that test flights will be later this year.

From someone that attended, it sounds like the rumored “one flight and done” deal, as had been postulated by a noted warbird news website, is complete BS. From an individual who attended the event today, it was stated that when ready, the aircraft will be dissembled and trucked to Moses Lake where they plan to conduct 10-15 test flights. Once completed it will be dissembled again and trucked to the FHCAM at Everett where it will continue to be flown in select Flyday events. They anticipate flying it by the end of the year.

Someone has put the presentation on YouTube. They discussed the history of the plane, with photo evidence of the original paint. They discussed some of the challenges of restoring the plane, but the airframe is mostly original WW2. Then they discussed the engines and challenges without original performance specs on individual engine components. Lots of restoration photos in the presentation slides.

Then there was a Q&A session with Steve Hinton and others. Some questions on other aircraft, such as why fly the Me-262 and not the Fw-190D-13? The answer is that the Me-262 is restored to their standards and they know it works while the D-13 was not restored to their standards. Steve Hinton says the replica Me-262s will probably fly differently than the original, just like the Flugwerk Fw-190s do not fly like the original A-5. One comment of note is potential flight restrictions around Paine Field with an early jet. I think they are still figuring that out. Test flights will not be open to the public.

One funny moment was when someone asked the obvious question about the restored He-111 (work in progress) sitting in plain sight behind the seating area. The only answer given was yep, that's an He-111.

Seems like a short ferry flight would be warranted? It is no more experimental in the FAA's eyes I don't think than a MiG-15 or Boeing's T-33:
