Also consider the Thunder Mustang-at 3/4 scale it still is a comfortable two place (for big guys), dual control, V-12-powered speed machine. One fine flying example for sale now and several projects:

MARC/Tallichet was making the first 3. Not sure if they still do. Expect to pay about $100k for a P-47, a little less for the pointy ones (no engine detail required).

Two months ago I was quoted $120K plus for a Fiberglas Corsair from Tallichet. And that was with no landing gear!

Hello everyone.

I have a full size P-40E replica for sale. It is built of aluminum and has a fiberglass cowl and spinner. The fuselage, tail, wings are done and working on the fairings, prop, canopy, flaps, ailerons, and landing gear. This will be a gear down replica fitted with 27" BT-13 wheels. It could be towed for outside display.

it's nice to run into you here. I am the one who got some pics from you that belonged to a P-40 pilot who flew in the Philippines. I spent 15 yrs writing veterans who fought on Bataan 1941-42. Nearly all have gone west now, including Lt. General Joe Moore, a real unsung American hero and close friend.
Been working on my flying P-40 replica off and on. Its a big project. In the meantime, I have been enjoying building statics ( pictured above).
Been thinking of doing a P-51D and a YP-37. Do you have any good pics of the XP-37 and YP-37? Looking for copies of manuals and fuselage and cowling drawings for the YP-37. Any help greatly appreciated.
Also would appreciate a good lead on a GE B series turbo.

Great job on the P-40 replica - would look good in my yard. What are you using for wings - C-45 outer panels?

Yeah. they need some reworking but are pretty close. the ailerons and flaps need some mods. but they look good.
after this one finds a home, will get started on the YP-37 and have started building a few P-51D components for another static replica.
I love to build airplanes and cars. Cant get enough

I have 6 ea, 1:1 scale P-40 replicas made of alumnium available (does not warp).
These were made for a remake of the the film, The Flying Tigers that was never made.
They have been in storage for over 20 years.
They are not museum quality, but movie quality reproductions.

One of the 6 belong to the WASP Museum in Sweetwater Texas.
But the other 5 are available, for someone looking for a static display.
I can offer them as is (you complete), or display ready (or any condition in between).

Several years ago, I saw some fibeglass replica WWII aircraft at the West Palm Beach airport. They were decor for a restaurant. I think the restaurant was/is defunct.
