Canada National Aviation Museum Storage Facility

Very nice selection and rare pieces.....

Photography is really hard. The place is really packed!

Could not get close to the Firefly Mk1 & the North Star...

Still very enjoyable.

Sorry for the quality, these were taken with my phone.

I was told a Fairchild bush biplane.

There is no reference on the artifact that I could see and the guide knew little about it.

tks..... That is it! Wow what a rare bird.

I was thinking a Fairchild 45-80 which was tested in Canada. But the cockpit frame layout was wrong.

Looks like I am going to have to get out there again soon. been a while since I went through the storage hangar and they seem to have added a number of items!

Too bad they wont be building a new display hangar any time soon. SOOOO many cool planes that could be on display. their WWI section could be twice as big!!

They may be building something soon.

They have with a tech school and will need space soon.

The plan looks that they would build small additional display area for the WW1 stuff...which would liberate enough space to turn the conservation area into a display area including the Argus & North Star

Is there anything online about this. Would be interested in ready up more about this.

That DC-9 , fin 711, is the first one I did a line flight in. A dirty night in YQR, Feb 1979, 200 and 1/2 -- and the Captain let me fly the leg.
