I have lost track since the Avenger left the collection. What others have left the collection? I saw on another site the B-36 was sold. Is that true and is so where is it going? Whats still on the property? Thanks

From what I saw, they weren't done very imaginatively or well. Even more sad for that.

The aircraft was made of magnesium, and after decades outside was corroded beyond saving. If someone could have saved it, they would have bought it. All the stuff that went to moto-art was all the stuff that was beyond saving and no one else was interested in. Id rather it be turned into tags then melted down for scrap.

Wasn't there a P-47 on the property? Where did that go?

I was there last month. The P-63A fuselage is sold and in Virginia. The B-52B nose, P2V nose, and DC-4 nose are gone. There is supposed to be a buyer for the P-47N fuselage. The guy has a P-51 that is possibly the best on the planet. So let’s hope the T-bolt gets the same treatment. The BT-12 and Bell 47 are sold but still there.
The Complete Skyraider prototype and the hulk EA-1E are still there and for sale. There are a couple reasons why they haven’t sold. The AT-11 is sold but still there. The WW II airplanes are pretty much all sold. There are a few Beech 18’s still for sale. The Howard NH-1 is sold and removed. There is a T-6/ Harvard hulk that is still there. It was involved in a stall/ spin accident in the 1980’s. The keychain people didn’t want it and it needs to go to the scrapper. Not one straight or usable part on it. The C-82 is still there.
There are two Cessna T-50 bamboo projects, one civilian and one still military. It be nice to see someone buy them and donate to an active CAF chapter or?
Post WW II: A T-34B fuselage has been found and is for sale. There’s also a T-28A fuselage available. I located a canopy, an R1300 engine with two blades prop, but they aren’t grouped together. The C-97 needs to be scrapped.
The F7U Cutlass is still available, as is the C-97, the BE-18s, the DC-6 cockpit section, etc.There are tons of engines, many , many types , I couldn’t identify. Mr. Soplataalso collected flat head truck engines , aircraft and military radios of all types. The family is working hard and starting to group things together, where buyers can make sense of what’s there.
They say “ you eat an elephant one bite at a time.” Well they’ve been tasked with eating a herd of elephants.
