Wow,

Shannon and I Met Mr Crossfield last summer in Bedford, MA.
I got to babysit him before the host of his presentation took him out for dinner. During the conversation, needless to say I did not need to babysit him, he was pacifying me, he talked about rigging the landing gear in his 210 and how if you rigged it like the book showed you would really "F@CK it up". That was a wonderful evening, with his usual presentation of stories from his amazing career, and a bunch of great comical moments. He will be sorely missed, Mach Godspeed!

I was at a airport in Virginia 13 years ago just passing through. A guy was working on a Cessna 210 (I think). He was trying to get the hydraulic unit out. I showed him how to do it and he took me to lunch to repay me. Over lunch he introduced himself as Scott Crossfield. I had the best lunch and conversation with him. What a chance meeting. I'll never forget it. Blue Skies Scott.

I was approached by this older gentlemen at Dayton Airshow prior to the 2003 100th Anniv. Airshow, We had the POF Corsair Hangared at Aviation Sales for a few days and he had asked to look inside. After getting in and sitting down he introduced himself. I had a nice visit talking with him. I gave him one of my Corsair Logo Hats and he was on his way. Fly Safe--Fly Fast..!!

i had the privelege & honor to meet him & get his autograph at the aviation hall of fame event in 2003. i cherished the moment since then & doubley now. god bless mr crossfield!!

I will miss him.

By an odd twist of fate, I was fortunate enough to spend an evening and have dinner with him a few years back. We spoke mainly of his desire to build a supersonic homebuilt aircraft and that one of the biggest stumbling blocks was designing the proper wheel/tire combination for such a small, high -speed aircraft. Fascinating!

I loved every minute of it and I cherish the memory of my short time spent with one of history's greatest aviators.

I had the great pleasure to meet Mr. Crossfield several years while I was working as the Marketing Director for the Weeks Air Museum in Miami. He just stopped by to visit. We talked a while and he autographed the side of the B29 cockpit, the original “Fertile Myrtle”.

Yeah, I was there Monday through Saturday. Left Sat morning, as that's when "my ride home" was departing, so I didn't have much of a choice. I didn't really meet up with any WIXers, but did get to hang out with the Warbird Digest gang and fly on some really cool photoshoots.

I was much more impressed with the warbird turnout this year...last year was kind of a bummer. In my book, anything with 9 Mustangs can't be wrong.
