Warbillboards ...

Actually a couple of Pepsi Skywriters.

Pepsi-Cola Corporation became one of the longest-running contractors of skywriting; in the late 1930's to mid 1940's, it contracted or owned a total of 14 aircraft. In 1940 alone, it contracted for 2,225 writings over 48 states, Mexico, Canada, South America, and Cuba.

The First National Ad
Pepsi’s first aerial ad premiered above New York City on May 1, 1931 with the simple plug: “Drink Pepsi-Cola.” The phenomenon caused such a sensation that a woman reportedly telephoned the company to announce that God had written the product’s name across the sky.

The first photo actually shows an SNJ-2, not an AT-6. The curved, flat bottom rudder may not be quite apparent in this shot, but the centreline fairing over the sump/selector lever certainly is. This is the same type that the Stinnis Skytypers used for years and the current edition of the organization still does.

Stoney, from www.skytypers.com:

Skytypers began operations in 1932 when a little known beverage company hired Andy Stinis to do skywriting to promote its product. The beverage company was Pepsi-Cola and for the next 22 years utilized skywriting as its major mass advertising medium to build brand awareness.

The Waco CRG was one of two built, '600Y still flies, and was recently purchased by Walt Bowe.
See if you can find a photo of the Stinis Travel Air NC455N, a friend of mine owns it now.
