Per request from BennoT6, I searched the archives for ANG Texans, didn't come up with a lot but here's what the archives revealed.

Just a quick and dirty, there's more out there.

The second one is the subject of a Caracal decal sheet if that floats your boat.

Hi Scott, Junkman, Mark, Lon,

Thanks for sharing these great ANG Texan pictures; most welcome!

Have been digging in my records to see if anything of interest was there for these P&W R1340 powered aircraft. Starting on top:
1. 42-84841 went to Brazil, to become 1601
2. ?
3. 52-8206 went to France to become 52-8206 and later went to Tunisia to become Y-xxxxx
4. 44-81273 was refurbished by NAA and became T-6G 51-14331, went to France to become 51-14331
5. 53-4555 crashed 1955/10/21
6. 41-34293 AMARC, to reclamation 1956/09/29
7. ?
8. 50-1290 went to France to become 50-1290
9. ? listed as "42-8525" but this is not a T-6 serial. One having a high res picture to reveal serial from sidepanel just beneath the front cockpit?
10. 42-85857 went to Brazil, to become 1607
11. 49-3274 N7689C

Any addtional information, comment, corrections most welcome.

Regards,

Benno

Looks like 4?-??285X or N. Not sure why there is an "X" or "N" at the end of S/N?

Last three of the serial are on the gear door, so 42-85258.
