"Da Bomb"

Sun May 24, 2020 12:31 pm

Recently, I "discovered" COE trucks.

Since I cannot upload images here, this link will take you to an interesting photo, of an airplane fuel tank.

Not knowing anything about fuel tanks, I defer to the experts for ID.

Is it a Misawa tank, or somesuch?

Here ya go.

Looks like a standard 165 gal tank, the kind that they made "belly tank" racers post war. A Misawa tank would have a cylindrical section inserted at the mid-point.

The COE tag caught my eye. I learned to drive in a 1963 International COE. Didn't take me long to prefer conventional semi tractors. You sit on top of the steer axle in a cabover resulting in a ride that will knock your fillings out on a rough road. And you're the first one at the scene of the accident so to speak. But back to the thread........
