The top photo is across from the Neil House hotel in Columbus, Ohio.
wonder what the biplane is to the right of the P-80 in the photo?
Not a Stearman (square-ish wingtips and four ailerons) a N3N?

Neither type has a Columbus connection...but it is close to Wright Field and Freeman Field (where the V-2 may have come from).

Per the book Maryland Aviation by John R. Breihan:

On the cover:"Old Number 9" was the ninth of 5,266 Marauder medium bombers built by the Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Company of Middle River. This particular Marauder flew combat missions in the Aleutians early in World War II. In late May, 1943 it returned to Maryland and was placed on display in downtown Baltimore between the War Memorial (pictured) and Baltimore City Hall. (Glenn L. Somewhere between the Aleutians and Baltimore it picked up a training base code; now to figure out where...

Well, apparently it came from MacDill Field. "1102" or "1103" looks like one of those four-digit codes that has nothing to do with the serial (more MacDill B-26 buzz numbers here, https://387bg.com/Stations/MacDill/MacDill%20Field.htm scroll halfway down). From the Baltimore Sun:
