1962 film with fire tanker action

Looks like TBMs, PBYs, Invaders and Neptune’s at work.

As a bonus, it was narrated by William Conrad.

I guess I misidentified that as a Neptune. Looked like it had tip tanks?

Yup a Savage. Neptune wing is relatively narrow at the root and longer span with longer tiptanks vs Savage wing which is wider at the root shorter span with a smaller tiptanks.

Wikipedia says the jets were removed from the 3 aircraft converted as fire bombers. I imagine the water or slurry was held in bomb bay tanks for CG and CG shift reasons, with the discharge doors nearby, but that's speculation.
