I will be there at the WW2 weekend in one month. Cant wait to see the Widow!
The P-61 looks so small outside of the hanger. It always looked huge whenever I saw it in the resto shop behind the hanger.

What an awesome look with the polished metal. Wouldn't it be awesome to fly it polished first just for a aerial photo shoot before it gets painted black!

The F-15 Reporters were flown polished. Unfortunately, Ralph Ponte bellied the last one in and it was scrapped many, many, years ago.
The stories I've read said that by todays standards it was an easy rebuild.

Stunning, simply stunning.
Of all the restorations underway across the world, this has to be the one I'm anticipating more than any other.
With P-61s being very much in the news this week, does anyone have any info on the possible acquisition of the Beijing example, plus possibly a couple of others ex-PNG, by Paul Allen that was discussed a year or two back?

When I was there a few weeks ago I asked. The topic was gradually changed. I took the hint and didn't ask again. Since then I realized the 109 is on-site at FHC, but not on display. Maybe they were just taking their time assembling it after shipping. Maybe not...

Thats great, I like how they took it outside. Just to see how it looked in the sun. I have been guilty of that myself.

Wonderful progress has been made to the Widow ! Simply saying Congratulations seems inadequate. But in a word .....WOW ! It's great to see her back on her legs again. Did anyone find out when or if the outer wing panels were done and when they might be re-attached ? She's gonna look great when she's finished.
