Really cool - amazing photos as usual Mark. I would love to have that tail turret trainer here in Wendover. Having been to Saipan, I can imagine how hot it would be inside one of those B-29 sections. I hope they had good fans!!

Wow! Had never even known that was a thing. Fascinating how they took the B-29s apart and aligned the sighting blisters. I had the pleasure of spending a few day on Saipan @1991. Still good evidence of WWII if you know what to look for, and a few more obvious like pill boxes and the Sherman still in the surf zone

Can anyone identify the B-29 with the Sky(?) Scrapper II nose art. 6 kill markings.

Sky-Scrapper II (42-63463) was a 497th Bomb Group B-29. Fell victim to a brakeless B-29 that ran into her hardstand "slicing right through it like it was made of hot butter" on February 19, 1945.
