The Walter Soplata Story

Mon May 24, 2021 11:09 pm

One of my local radio stations carries a program called “Our American Story”.

One of tonight’s episodes was “The Walter Soplata Story” narrated by his son Wally. Pretty entertaining and informative.

I assume this could be available via podcast somewhere.

Wally also wrote a book “B-25 in the Backyard” which I want to get.

Got the book: it's a great read. The F7U in a schoolbus caper takes some beating.

I got this book today for Christmas. I'm already about 30 pages into it--it's interesting and entertaining! Well worth the time and money. Recommended! :drink3:

Very Good Book! Not only did I enjoy the airplane retrieval stories, I saw a lot of my family in theirs. We have moved a lot of small airplanes so I could really relate to their adventures. Wally, very glad you took the time to write the book. It was obviously a lot of work. Our parents lived in a much less forgiving world. Best book I have read in a long time. David J./Jasper, GA
