Today is the 100th for Stocky Edwards, Canada's highest-scoring surviving fighter pilot -- still hale and hearty and a good friend. We painted our Kittyhawk IV (P-40N) in his exact colours -- and I once took him up in it; said, "You have control!" (it's a dual-cockpit modification) and watched him fly the fighter in which he'd done such an amazing job in the Western Desert in 1942. Here is our tribute to him. Due to Covid restrictions we were unable to gather at the hangar in the numbers we would have liked, but the people working there did their best to make up for it.

They had 2 CF-18s fly over his house on Saturday to mark the occasion. I spoke to Stocky and he clearly enjoyed it. They did a vertical pull at his location, lit the afterburners, and disappeared.
He was happy and quite buzzed during the conversation -- sharp, and in good spirits.
