The folks at FliteTest spent the last 6 months building and finishing a giant scale B-17 and finished it in the colors of "Bomboogie" of the 390th BG. All made out of foam! Check it out.

At what size does the FAA get involved?

The thing is almost as large as a J-3.

It is typically all about the final weight. That B-17 is actually made of block foam then fiberglassed. So while it looks enormous, it is probably not as heavy as you would think it is.

Plus it flies very slow if you have seen the videos. it is all electric.
If you want danger in RC.....get a small jet!!!!!! Those can speed pretty fast!!!!
