There is a T-33 at a local VFW that is on display(on the ground).It has tail pipe and intake covers and all the access panels are riveted shut.Out of curiosity,is there any easy way to tell if the engine is installed or not?Thanks.

Typically, the engines are not in the airframe.
Remember, when many, if not most T-birds were given away, the type was still in service.
Also, it saves weight and eliminates potential environmental issues.
