...enroute from NMNA passed thru NW of Houston yesterday heading for Castle Air Museum, Atwater, California. At a stop in Hockley, a Houston news film team interviewed Marty Batura of Worldwide Aircraft Recovery who said he began in Florida. The Hornet still carries the name of Lcdr James "Rocket" Haley of Canadian, Texas who last flew ship 2. BuNo 163429 according to Baugher was with the Blues Feb. 2019 to Feb. 2020 before being retired to NMNA. Due to Covid most of the flights of this bird and Haley were spent with the joint Navy/ Airforce "thank-you" flights for Covid responders for their toil and sacrifices.
