FOF Biplane Fly-in

Fantasy of Flight hosted a biplane fly-in on Saturday. There were 23 Stearmans on the field and another 6 different types. It was a nice gathering of biplanes. Mr. Weeks flew the P-51C for flight of the day.

Ditto! Really like the Travel Air on floats and the "struts 'n wires forest" is superb!

When they tried to take off in their historic plane, their weekend of fun came crashing down.

"He had a little problem with the directional control and he wandered off the main surface of the runway," Chalet Suzanne owner Eric Hindshaw said.
Kind of fits in with the taildragger takeoff technique thread...
