MAPS has been offered an incredible barn find. 4 Goodyear Ducks that were thought to have been scrapped years ago, were nesting in Kalamazoo. Now, they are coming back to their home in Northeast Ohio.

You can easily see that David Thurston had a hand in that...
He was also responsible for the wartime Grumman Tadpole
Thurston went onto design the Colonial Skimmer which led to the series of Lake aircraft.
Later, he developed the Teal.
At some point it would be neat to have a display of them all.

I would hate to see a rare potentially nice static, or even airworthy, type be relegated to an outdoor "stuck on a pole" display.
Not to mention a general aviation type's lightweight construction may make it bit fragile for long term display. There is probably a reason you don't see more Cessnas and Pipers on poles...
