Its interaction like this that gets to be a problem!

Which brings up the question. Does anyone know if there has ever been an engagement between F-16's for real or was this the closest it has come?

This information just came through the Yahoo F-4 Discussion Group:

It was not a "routine training flight", it was a photo recce mission with 2 THK F-16;s escorting a THK RF-4E on a mission to photograph Greek Patriot and S-300 batteries on the Greek island of Crete... Apparently the Turkish F-16 tried to get between the Turkish RF-4E and the Greek F-16 that was intercepting and writing its number and load... The a/c that crashed were both F-16';s, the RF-4E returned to base...

No news yet about the Greek pilot, the SAR efforts continue...

Best regards
