SitRep 2026

Wed May 06, 2026 6:48 pm

Just wanted to give you an update on whats going on with me and also the site.

As some of you know I was diagnosed with Parkinson's last October. This has proven to be a difficult situation to deal with in regards to the site, mainly in regards to coding. Trying to code the site is difficult at best when your hands are unruly bastards. I am plugging away but my progress is significantly slowed, and that was before the BS of the last 6 weeks. 6ish weeks ago I was diagnosed with a severe infection that was spreading through my foot. Two hospital stays later and way to many antibiotics I am on the mend, minus my big toe on the left foot. I have spent the last moth sick as a dog and have mainly slept. But I am doing better and will hopefully return to work in a couple of weeks.

The big site issues is the flakiness of the WIX server. It's doing better but is not great. At this point I am working on creating a whole new site and archiving the current one (this version of the site is Mk. II, the original site was archived so this is not unprecedented)

I will proceed with this as quickly as time and health allows.
Thanks for your support and patience.

All the best Scott: you've created one of the best sites on the internet!

Is Patreon still the best way to support the site Scott?

I've been noticing that more and more often the board is operating more normally. I appreciate it and with the added health complications you're doing above and beyond expectations. Thank you.

Scott, the very best of British to you from the eastern side of The Pond - and as Winston used to say: KBO! Keep Buggering On...
