YAMs's Yankee Lady has been signed to appear in a movie entitled 'Closing the Ring'
The film is described, by the production's publicist, "as an epic love story that spans two continents and half a century and tells the story of an American woman who honours a wartime promise of love with a lifetime of heartache until the discovery of a gold ring re-awakens her"
Filiming began late March in Belfast, Ireland and will later move to Toronto, Canada, where Yankee Lady will be flown for her appearances before the camera. The dates for that are June 5th - 8th, with the Toronto filming scheduled for 4th May - 9th June 2006.
Appearing with Yankee Lady will be Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plumber. Directing 'Closing the Ring' is Oscar winer Sir Richard Attenborough
The B-17 is no newcomer to the silver screen, having been seen in the 1970 film Tora! Tora! Tora!

Whoops. Didn't read the bulk of your opsdt before I went spouting off.
This isn't the first time Yankee Lady has been in a film. In her previous life she was one of the B-17's (innaccurately, since the G model didn't come around till '44) used in the filming of Tora! Tora! Tora! Or as I like to call it "the movie about Pearl Harbor that didn't completely suck [explitive]"
