B-17/B-52 Heritage Flight

My cousin is a B-52 EWO at Barksdale AFB. He sent me these pictures from their airshow last month. I thought it was pretty cool.

Excellent Pics! In the second pic you can see the tail of the photo plane, possibly a B-25, is there any shots from the ground of the (possible) B-25, B-17 and B-52?

Very nice pictures, two of my favorites, thanks I really enjoyed them!

Yes the photo plane was a B-25. It was the CAF's Yellow rose.

I took several shots from the ground on Saturday of the show but have not had a chance to get the film developed. As soon as I do I will try to put them up (If they came out okay).

Unfortunatly I was unable to get any air to air shots from T-bird on Friday but I believe Trae S has already posted some of the ones his dad took on the Saturday flight.

Amazing photos spanning over 60 years of aviation flying between them.

Awesome shots. Do you have them in a larger resolution? It would make a great desktop background.

tgarrison,

Your cousin wouldn't happen to be with the 93rd Bomb Squadron would he?

Not sure if they still have them up on their site but they were available at the Air Forces official web page photo section.

Those are the highest resolution pics I have. I'll try to get some larger ones.

Rob, yes, my cousin is in the 93rd. He just got back from Diego Garcia a couple weeks ago.

We were actually trying to coordinate it to put the Lockheed C-60 up with a C-130. We were even going to take it one step further since one of our pilot's son flies C-130's. You would have two Lockheeds in the air with a father flying one and the son flying the other.

How about a B-17 and a C-17? Make the numerologists proud...

Honestly though, they have both C-47/DC-3s and C-17s flying out of Long Beach daily/weekly, just not necessarily in formation.

Maybe a C-124 and a C-17? The Globemaster II and the Globemaster III.
