I know that there are a couple of C-123's that people are restoring, but does anyone know if there is anyone restoring a C-119 for the air show circuit? Would be kind of neat to see one flying around again, I kind of miss seeing old "Miss Piggy" in the sky.

What ever happened to the recent "Flight Of The Pheonix" C-119? I heard it was up for sale. Does anyone know if it was purchased?

Mid Atlantic Air Museum's R4Q was being restored to flying condition at one point, but it took a back seat when their B-25 suffered an accident ten years ago which required immediate attention. I don't know whether they are still trying to get her airworthy again. Other than the Hawkins & Powers example(s), I do not know of any other currently airworthy C-119 variants, or planned airworthy restorations.

I would love to see one done as a "Stinger" or "Shadow". That would be a AC-119 G or K.............would be great sitting with the AC-47.

Hmmm,
The MAAM is a 119?
I had not seen it until this year, It was outside of the hangar on the other side of the airport for the fist time since we have been going down there.
It looked more like an 82 to me but what do I know?
What are the details?

The 82 has a stepped windscreen and smaller motors than C-119.

There was one I recall in the late 80’s.
