I admit I have a little catching up to do, as I am way behind with posting photos. I attended Friendly Foes Over the Falls and Air Show Ottawa the past two weekends. On top of that I was on a road trip for a few days packing in as many aviation sites as I could. In short there are many photos to be posted and I am busy working on it.
I will post the pictures in the sequence that I photographed them. I will start with my first stop on my road trip, the Brockville waterfront….
If you stop by the Brockville marina and near-by park you will find a pole mounted Canadair-built Sabre. This Sabre has been displayed there for as long as I can remember. Apparently as few years back there was some concern over it’s condition and questions about whether it should be removed from it’s perch. If I remember correctly it was inspected and no issues were found. It looks like it was repainted in recent years as it looks very nice. You can find recent pictures of it in the following photo album along with pictures taken in 1994 for comparison…

My road trip continued with my next stop being CFB Trenton….
I was told the public has access to the south side of the base, and I was not lied to. On the south side in the cadet training section you can find a CF-100 and CF-101 on display. These are very difficult to see from public property and I was quite happy to get some walk-around photos. After leaving the south-side I took a trip to the perimeter fence on the north-side and photographed some training airframe parked outside along with the RCAF Memorial Museum’s MiG-21. You can find the pictures here…

The next stop was the RCAF Memorial Museum itself, only a short distance away...
I took a quick walk around the airpark to photograph the new positions of some of the airframes. You can find the new pictures along with other RCAF Memorial Museum pictures in this album…

…I also made a point of photographing their Avro Anson project. When the crew saw me taking a great interest in their work I was given the grand tour. Many thanks to the crew for allowing me to get such great photo ops behind the barriers. You can find the pictures at…
