I read on Fence Check that the TFX Tigercat was making its finall appearance at Legends this weekend because it will be coming to the US for a new owner. Does anyone have any more information about this?

The Tigercat was bought by Tony Raftus.

Thanks for the info & pics!

Nice to see another airworthy Tigercat coming to the US.
Could somebody please explain the situation involving Tony Raftis? Is he a warbird dealer or does he actually buy the aircraft for his own collection?

Dang! When I saw Michael Luther replying to this thread, I was hoping he would say "This plane will be coming to Thunder next month."

Sad to see this aeroplane leaving the UK - definitely one of my favourites and always superbly displayed by Pete Kynsey. But we've enjoyed its presence here in the UK for a decade (is it really that long?), so a huge vote of thanks to Stephen Grey and TFC for making it possible!

After 20 years keeping us Brits happy ~ another American warbird is on it's way back across the "pond"
I wonder if we might just see this making an appearance at Oshkosh ?
I took this picture last weekend at Flying Legends at Duxford ~ her last display in the UK !

No time for tears, Peter...soon you'll have "Little Demon" gracing your sometimes-sunny skies!
Nice knowing that they're all going to good homes.
