PB4Y-1 MIA

Thu Jul 13, 2006 9:37 pm

Hello,

I'm looking into a USN PB4Y-1 MIA status. I'm trying to ID two crew members whose remains were recovered in 1946 and one's status that is unknown. I've contacted the National Personnel Service Center and the NARA and have received generic reports but not what I need. I'm trying to ID the men via photos that I have and need to know their height, hair color, and eye color. Any way to get this information :?:

I requested the info via FOIA and received the basic service records. The Navy Dept. sent my request to the NARA and then they sent it to the NPC. I've requested The following documentation on the above individuals from the Office of the Quartermaster General, Repatriation Branch Records Section, and American Graves Registration Service.

Disinternment Directive (QMC Form 1194)
Data on Remains Not Yet Recorded or Identified (OQMG Form 371)
Report of Reinternment (QMC No 1-GRS)
Report of Internment (AR 30-1810 and AR 30-1815)

Thus far nothing but the FOIA Service Records.
