NWM PBY and there soon to fly Mig 17!

Fri Aug 25, 2006 8:33 pm

Just an update, the National Warplanes Museums PBY is still at the museum in Elmira NY. So is the C-47/R4D.

I beleive the NWM still has quite a few aircraft that they actually own. They have a Mig 17 that had its engine tested and seems that it will soon be flying!!! :supz: This information I got when I went to the WOE airfest a couple of weeks ago.

In fact, here she is. The NWM's Mig 17 in Polish markings from 4 weeks ago!

According to their website, it's actually owned by Jon Blanchette.
