Wright-Patt AFB ABDR F-4 Phantom ???

Does anyone know anything about the dismantled F-4 in the DRMO yard at Wright-Patterson AFB? Looks like it has been used for Aircraft Battle Damage Repair (ABDR). Anyone got a Serial No. for this bird?

That Phantom has been there for awhile in that yard I believe ... Have a friend keeping tabs on it for me to see what happens to it ...

I took these pictures awhile back, this past December. It has since moved within the yard and the tail now sits beside it but I haven't been able to make out any information on it. Got info on her?

About the same time that this Phantom came into the yard a similarly stripped F-16 also came into the yard and set beside the F-4. The Falcon left some time ago though.

from the color scheme on the picture linked below I would say that it is A/C SN 64-0724

From what I know these aircraft are/were at Wright-Patterson AFB.

If you could identify the AMARC no. ( like AA FP0174 or FP0174 ) somewhere on the air conditioning inlet ( as seen here http://www.5053phantoms.com/photos//dis ... ?pos=-6661 )it would help much. After these numbers aircraft can be identified at http://www.amarcexperience.com/AMARCDB.asp

Unfortunately I do not know any person at WP AFB so I can ask nobody.

Thanks for posting and welcome aboard.

For awhile I kepted looking back and forth between your pictures and mine to try an recognize the patterns of the camoflage.

Next weekend I'm going to go talk to the Base Police at WPAFB and see if they'll let me go in and take pictures in hopes of identifying the F-4. I don't think they'll have a problem with it. They haven't in the past. It's normally the civilians who work in the DRMO yard who make a fuss. Which is good, everybody needs to take an active part in "OPSEC" especially in today's day and age.

I'll post when I find out anything.

Maybe you can find the aircraft identification plate in the front cockpit, right side forward.

If you get some picture maybe you can send some for the gallery. I´ll make a seperate album for them.
