Hei,

Is there anyone who has images of instruments that Kollsman produced arround 1936/37. Particular interested in hydrostatic operated fuel quantity gauges.

Best regards,

Mathieu

Interesting subject. What are your particular needs, and what is their purpose?

Cheers. Richard

Hei Richard,

An interesting subject indeed!! Why this question, well I am trying to build a cockpit from a Fokker G.1 ( www.fokker-g1.nl ) which was equipped with a lot of American made instruments like Kollsman, Weston, Waltham and Eclipse. For my project I have almost all American made instruments. But there have been 2 types of the Fokker G.1, a serie of 26 aircraft with Pratt & Whitney twin wasp jr. engines and a serie of 36 aircraft with Bristol Mercury engines.
The Bristol Mercury serie was used by the Dutch army air service and my cockpit is one of this serie. The cockpit of the other serie was completley differend from the Mercury ones.
Some time ago I got some photos from that cockpit, while I look very good to the photo I saw that the fuel quantity gauge are differend although both are a Kollsman made gauge. Now I should like to know if it is indeed a Kollsman gauge. I hope that someone on this forum is able to help me, I tried to contact Kollsman but did not heard anything from them.
The photos shows ( when you open in paint program you see much better ) the gauge of the mercury serie and the gauge of the wasp serie, it seems to me that the gauge of the wasp has a knob which I suspect is a light, also clear is how much of the gauge comes trough the panel while the mercury gauge has no knob and is almost level with the panel. Any information will be highly appriciated!!

Best regards,

Mathieu
