Movieland of the Air

I'm looking for some interior display photos from the Tallmantz museum, and/or an exterior photo of the front of the museum (from the street). They had some dioramas set up with various airplanes, particularly their World War I collection.

Wow! I was just telling a fellow about the time I got a behind the ropes tour of Movieland of the Air, back in 1971. It was first aniversary vacation of my first marriage. After Disneyland, Kntt's Berry Farm, etc Ex's cousin suggested she call another cousin, who was a pilot for Tallmantz, for a tour. Don't recall either cousin, barely remember my ex (been married to #2 for over 30 yearas), but I sure as hell remember that tour!!! I got to sit in NX1204, Bendix winner and now(shudder!!) Kermit Week's P-51C Ina the Macon Belle.

Here are three shots of Tallmantz WWI birds on display. I guess you could generously characterize those things on the wall behind them as a diorama. I have photos of most of the Tallmantz collection from two visits, 1966 (b&w, like these) and 1969 (color). They focus on the airplanes, so the displays are shown only incidentally, as here. Let me know if this type of thing is useful.

The picture of the SBD is actually an A-24B, and is now at the Lone Star Flight Museum as sthe SBD-5.
