Mystery Turret Controller...Can Anyone I.D.?

Mon Nov 06, 2006 9:20 am

I was curious if anyone out there can help me identify this turret controller. My first guess is that it's for a Consolidated Tail Turret used on B-24's. The data plate says "Clarke Aero Hydraulics Pasadena, CA."

Thanks in advance for your help!

John,

That is indeed for a B-24 tail. Not a ball turret part, but a good score nonetheless!

Forget the controller where did you get the pottery and splenda?

Thanks Trev...but actually the piece is not mine. It belongs to a guy in Alaska that asked me to help identify what type of turret it went to. Since I didn't have a parts breakdown manual of the tail turret I figured one of you "experts" out there could verify my assumption that it was indeed for the Consolidated turret. Since I only collect parts for my ball turret project I'm really not interested in the controller and suggested that he put an ad in barnstormers or ebay. He's looking at parting with it but I'm not sure if the pottery and splenda is included in the deal.

Thanks again!
