Breckenridge Spitfire

Tue Nov 07, 2006 8:15 pm

Hey guys,
Thought I'd share this pic of Bill Greenwood in his Spitfire. Taken from
the late Robb Satterfield flying the Hubb's Mustang N4132.
New at posting pictures so if this don't work I'll try again!

Nice shot Steve.

Rob was a real nice guy. He came and flew TFC's P-51 and P-47 in the UK in the mid-80s, and asked me to research and send him some photos of the temporary US hospital in the UK where his daughter was born when he was stationed nearby after the war, which I was happy to do for him. I seem to remember he flew P-47Ns in the Pacific at the end of WWII.

He sent me some nice air-to-airs of him in TFC's P-47 over Europe, which sadly I loaned out and never got back.

The "N" number you qouted above opened my eyes until I realized it was N4132.

My old Mooney Mite was N4123...........which the new owner (15 years ago) has never re-registered into his name.

Can I repossess it after this much time?

Ah yes, TJ you are correct!

Lynn, No pictures of the Contri Mustang. We only taxied out and blew coolant everywhere. I had to yell at Robb "Close the canopy!"

I did get my ride the next year in 44-73287/Ex N5445V. At the time it was owned by Victor Haluska and called"The Best Years of Out Lives".
I think you saw this one in CA at one time.

Here's a shot of Robb and I over West Texas April 1989.

Roger that, a picture of it with a stack fire hangs in my office. I took it at the 50th Annv in Santa Maria, Ca in 1990. You flew in it the next year at Breckenridge right??
