Ops

Almost immediately after landing at Nellis the FAA showed up and wanted airplane paperwork. I found my mine and they asked for the operation limitations. I could not even remember if I had such a thing, but it was in there, fortunately. I don't look at it when I plan a trip as safety concerns such as fuel range, weather, airports and runway info ,etc. are what I rely on. They also checked parachute packing date. Usually i would have my chute done at Osh, but it wasn't there this year. Thereis no rigger here or where my maintenance is done, luckily I remembered to pick up the chutes and take them down to the rigger and get them done. There has been an attempt to extend the repack interval to 180 days from 120. I hope it happens. It would be a shame if the FAA began hassling pilots about this and someone left their chute behind because they were worried about a date. One thing pilots need to do is phone FSS before flight. In my case I found 2 aairports on my route out and 1 back had runway closures due to construction.

Guys this was supposed to be under the forum "It's Here" about the Sea Fury ops at Addison. Sorry, me using a computer is a bit like a politician telling the truth; theorectically possible, but not natural.
