Can I make a request? Color shots of B-29s in the south Pacific? One of my favorite bombers in a stunning setting, and the coral runways serve to make it that much more photogenic.
I'm in absolute awe of your collection! The photo's you posted in this thread are no exception...however one is exceptional, the photo of Doolittle. Without question one of America's greatest hero's.

I really appreciate you taking the time to post these- all of them, not just this thread. Very good to see some different views of the war. The paramedic in me particularly likes the WC-54/C47 medevac photo. Of all the people medevac'ed during WWII, only 49 died. Pretty impressive number.
