This aircraft was sent to Phnom Penh CAMBODDGE new in 1951 and was first registered by the French (F-OAKK) on 20/2/1952. Its was first owned buy SA SOCIETE INDOCHINOISE DE PLANTATIONS D'HEVEAS. And I think first used buy Air Carrier Service Corperation. You can still see the old paint job under this newer paint job. After this first paint job it was repainted blue/white /green with a Flag down each side and has (U6-138) on the tail. This can also be seen under the last paint job as it was just brushed over. The last paint was retouched up by North Viet Nam, as you can see in the photo's below it is now HANG KHONG VIET NAM ,with the North Viet Nam flag on the tail. This aircraft was shipped back to Canada from Viet Nam in the 1990's with no log books or paper on it's history. I'm going to restore it, but I need to find its history. I'm hoping you will have some record's or would know some one I could get in contact with or could contact me. I would be interested in any kind of history/info/photo's on mine or any other Beaver aircraft,Things like which group worked on them(Air America)(Viet Nam)(continental)(Other)? which group was flying them ?Is there a place with old paper work from work done on it, in the 50's 60's 70's? any info at all.
