Wait a minute...they have four! That is fantastic. The perfect family outing... 8)

Not all four are owned by the Paul family... the third is AK940, owned by Tony Banta, and the fourth is PoF's P-40N.

The image is included in the current Golden Age of Flight Wall Calendar and the photogs are listed as Phil Wallick, Bill Crump, and Check Six.

Fade to Black...

Well...2 out of 4 isnt too bad either

In this instance, if I were any of the photographers or the producer of the calendar, I'd view it as good publicity... and I agree that this photo is too-cool.

It's only good publicity if you're credited! So I'm glad we figured out the source at least.

Hi August

Save the picture and open it in any program like Photoshop or Firehand Ember and select File-Properties-More (for Firehand) or in PS File-File info-Camera Data.

Thanks Doug. That function doesn't seem to be available in Elements, which I use, so no wonder I couldn't do it.

That picture was taken by either Phil Wallick or Paul Bowen. I have no idea who uses which camera but they were the photographers on that flight and they both took amazing shots. I'm guessing that photo is one of Phil Wallicks. That was a very meaningful day for all of us. Jim Thomas grew up out at Livermore airport helping my Dad and Tom Camp work on their P-40's so to have us 4 in formation together in 4 P-40's was really neat. I like to call the photo "the two punks with the two old pro's". Just to put the cherry on top for us was that my Mom was in the B-25 and was part of the whole thing. It really meant alot.
