So anyone know what the cost would be to overhaul this engine?
I thought I had read on here about 8 or 9k just for tear down inspection?

So, excuse me for being a knob but does it really matter if you are considering putting it in an aircraft and strapping someone's butt in the saddle?

"Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?"

Now, actually you probably just wanted to know the cost. Covington has some good info on their site. Otherwise, there are a lot of more experienced and smarter guys than I on this forum who can answer that question.

Just keep it real because we all need to protect our passion. Thanks,

I'm by no means an expert but "canned engines" are not "fresh" engines and you are just gambling if you free it up, hang it, run it, and go from there. Very bad economic sense if nothing else.

Oh, FYI, Glenn, this isn't a CAF airplane.

Ah, I'm not the guy that has the engine!
I'm asking the cost to compair what I could do it for.
