Gary is always working at god knows what hours day and night on CAF B-24.

Surely he needs a life and some time to sleep. Sleep does he evern know what that is?

Doesnt someone esle have my concern? Doesnt the old fella need a bed?

Im sure he will like our interest in the never ending not sleep routine.

Thanks Sabre, but I'm okay. I've got too many people relying on me for me to stop and take a break now. If I ever get that stinkin' B-24 back in the air, then I'll take a day or two off.

One thing I've got to point out though, is the fact that I'm not the only one in the Warbird world that works hard. The whole reason I started doing the updates like I did was to show everyone what it takes to do a project like that. I guarantee you that the guys at Ezell Aviation are working feverishly on a very important project or two. Not to mention other shops around the world, such as Pioneer Aero, Tri State Aviation, American Aero Services, and Fighter Rebuilders. The list goes on. Every one of those places has as much pride and passion about their work as I do...you just don't get to see the daily updates. I just wish I could turn out as nice a product as those folks do.

I think any of the shops out there that do quality work should be commended in their efforts to keep these ol' Warbirds flying.

Gary,I think that desire to do the best and to hell with how long it takes is a particular trait of those who spend their lives working on their passion,be it aeroplanes,cars,whatever.I see the same intensity in my day to day job with the airlines as what I do with poeple in the warbird industry.Unfotunately one of the costs is sometimes your health and relationships.Please book that holiday to N.Z. after 'Lil' is finished & recharge the batteries as you have definitely earned it.Best Regards,Pete

I think that the warbird community in and of itself is a rather sleepless society...

Just think of how many of us have become embroiled in reading until the wee hours of the morning, or god forbid, surfing the web for warbird stuff until sun-up?

I know that Scott has spent many, many long nights updating and creating the registry, the WRG and many of the features we like on the site.

Certainly I think that Gary needs and certainly deserves a well needed rest after all this, but I have a sneaking feeling that when the B-24A takes to the skies after all this and all the effort he has put into it is seen by the world... it will be all worthwhile.

When one has a passionate desire to make something, and make it right, it fuels the soul more than slumber or nourishment could ever do. As Scott says, if you aren't doing what you love, then why are you doing it?

Gary, just wanted to chime in and throw my two cents out there. There are a great number of people here (WIX) and in the general populace that greatly appreciate your time and talents that you utilize in saving and maintaining warbirds.
