Young Mr. Harjo is on the mark here. The a/c is the late John Deahl's N38DH. Later reregistered N6961. The plane did display at Madera in Aug. 1979 flown by Dick Martin of Palomar, CA who had been working on the a/c for Deahl. Does anyone know who stripped off the "Scrap Iron IV" colors it wore in the early 70s? And if Deahl ever did paint the plane before its demise? Did it do many shows during Deahl's ownership?

Is it just me and my computer screen or is there something funky going on with the LHS gun access panel in the last pic? It almost looks lioke something has been rubbed off and there's "yellowing" astern of the smoother section. Almost looks like Marge's pic and the word were there, if I turn my head sideways...

N-number looks nice and short as well so it looks like this has been solved as above post anyway.

I can see where I've been breathing heavily on the screen so will wait for the fog to clear before hitting submit!

Cheers

Andy

As a total aside, I like that book -- it's got a bunch of my pictures in it!
