I just got this e-mail from the CAF Safety dude, who's trying to find some cool stuff for the CAF's 0-2. If you know of where he can find this stuff, just contact him directly if you like.

Good Morning Gary,

I am trying to find at least two, but preferably four LAU-59/A rocket pods for our O-2 shown below. Do you have any connections to help me out?

Thanks,
Bob

Its a long shot but you can try www.sarconic.com

You will have to call and ask for machinegun Dave, they are mostly gun related stuff but they have been getting some de-mil missile related stuff lately.

Edited: I am not sure if MG Dave is the best to talk to on this, also the missle they have is a LARK.

Have a friend who used to own an O-2 who made his and they looked very authentic....he's supposed to make for me too but I have not pushed the issue. His price/cost is lower than Commodore for sure. I'll ask if he is willing to do it again, if you are interested in that route, and can let y'all know.

Thanks, it may be the way I wind up going, but as soon as I find a source, I am going after sponsors to get the very best I can get. I am looking forward to flying in the show with you next year if everything comes together. Do you have a FAST card?

Karen.... Jon was out at the hangar the other day for another trial fitting of the rocket pods. Does the Caf one have the shackles?

Ober....just checked one of the pictures when it was in AZ and it looks like it....but maybe Uncle Bob, Gary or Eric can check for sure since I've never seen the plane in person.

Who is Jon making for this time????

Yes we have the whole set up, as far as my knowlege goes; I can not send the pictures because they are not on a web site; how do you get around that requirement?

Bob, you can put them on photobucket and then link them here.....I believe that's how I did some for the Hill P-47...but there are many more knowledgeable people here when it comes to posting pictures. Hopefully someone will give you a better way.

Photobucket? I am really stupid; never heard of such a thing. I grew up in Arizona where we had beer buckets and I liked those alot!
