A few weeks ago I was watching a TV show on the CTV network, Cold Case. It is produced in the U.S.. The show dramtises police detectives investigating murder cases that had not been resolved, but reopening the cases when new evidence is discovered many years later. The show in particular I saw involved the murder of a "Rosie the Riviter" who was killed in an aircraft manufacturing plant during 1943. The flash back scenes featured many Rosies working in an aircraft plant, and in the background I could see many P-51 fuselages in various states of construction. The story indicated they were working in a B-25 plant, but I just rolled my eyes, and tried to put that out of my mind.

So where might this have been filmed? Where would a TV production facility find partially contructed P-51 fuselages for props in the background of scenes?

Regards,

Mike

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

What no one? Come on this is WIX:!: :P I thought someone here might know where there would be enough paritally constructed P-51s hanging around to make a nice back drop for the filming of a TV show.

Mike

So do I, but Cold Case is much less coookie cutter like compared to CSI and L&O. The writing is very good. Although someone should half told the set deisigner that B-25s had two engines and the plane the Rosies were working on were P-51s! :?
