Hello other warbirds members. I have joined this forum in the hope someone can identify a stomberg carby for me and the types of aircraft engines it was fitted to. I have pics but would need to email them as I dont know how to post pics to this site. The details on the plate fixed to the side of the carby are stromberg carburetor model NA - HIE, SERIAL 5741263, PARTS LIST 392164G - 8, BENDIX AVIATION CORP there are still service tags and seals from 1959, but most of the writing is unreadable. I have used every search engine and combination i can think of, without success. Has anyone any ideas or information please. aplogies for pic quailty my camera is old. NA stands for "Natural Atomization."

NA - Natural Atomization
P - Pressure
Q - Small Pressure

Barrel Type

Barrel Size from 1-3/16" in 1/4" increments

Model Letter - Major modification signifying a model change

Model Number - Minor modification

Looks like it would likely be an H1E rather than an HIE.

Maybe not an aircraft application but for a tank?

Cheers for that info, satisfies some of my curiosity. Now as I dont own old an aircraft nor am restoring one, nor will it fit in my MOPAR, I would like to find someone who could use it for restoration or display.
