Jeff:

How about this: people sue over anything and everything, so why would it matter. It would be no different if this guy who rode in this T-6 crashed in a car and was killed. You're killed on the ground rather than in the air.

Reminds me of the often said phrase here ' only in America'

If you did that here, you would be told to 'watch where you were bloody well going'

ROB,
I DIDN'T EXPECT SOME SMART REMARK ABOUT SIDEWALK CRACKS IN RESPONSE TO MY POST. MY COMMENTS WERE MADE IN ALL SINCERITY.
I'VE NEVER SEEN THE FLYPAST BOARD SO I'M NOT SURE OF THE NATURE OF THE REFERENCE YOUR MAKING TO IT. IT'S NOT MY INTENT TO DIMINISH THE GREAT LOSS THESE 2 FAMILIES ARE SUFFERING THOUGH OR TO USE THE TRAGEDY HAS AN EXCUSE TO JUMP ON MY SOAP BOX. LIABILITY IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT IT WEIGHTS HEAVILY ON THE MIND OF THE OWNER/PILOT OF ANY AIRCRAFT FROM BUGSMASHER TO WARBIRD. BECAUSE THIS ACCIDENT OCCURED WHILE A RIDE WAS BEING GIVEN THERE UNDOUBTLY WILL BE A LAWSUIT. THIS YOUNG MAN'S FAMILY HAS SUFFERED PLENTLY ALREADY I ONLY HOPE THEY DON'T LOSE MORE IN IT'S AFTERMATH. Yes it is, but why so much bigger for airplanes? What about cars? People killed in those every single day.

Hey Jack:

You took me the wrong way about the comment regarding people tripping and suing the city. I was trying to make a point in several postings that lawsuits happen everywhere all the time. So why bring it up?

I would like to here more about the Cork problem. I wasn't trying to be a censor here but some people seem to want to turn stuff into some sort of joke.

Cheers RER

Rob,

The cork dries out and fuel stops flowing. That's basically all there is to it. A new fuel valve is in the works and will hopefully be available soon.

Now as for you being a censor. This isn't your message board! Although some people might get that impression based on the fact that you have to respond to EVERY darn MESSAGE THAT GETS PUT UP!! I am willing to bet that you can't shut up for two days. I'm beginning to see why nobody wants any help from you in regards to the Hurricane post. I saw the nonsense that caused you to leave the Flypast board. You are a darn know it all and people are sick of it!

I'm glad somebody has the guts to speak their mind.

However, I think Rob is alright. He stays even tempered, instead of getting emotional. Even when people get critical. There are many people with many points of views, and it's best to remain open minded to all that is said, within reason of course.

Hey Rob:

Relax, he's giving you a hard time. Post to your heart's content. You are just trying to prevent people from getting emotional. That can get ugly if it continues unchecked.

Well Dave America like NZ is a great place, but no place is perfect. We do have trouble w/ lawsuits in this land. It causes trouble with insurance, and has to do with folks not taking personal responsibility. Instead blaming the sidewalk or something or someone else. Sermon over...

Alright, everyone take a step back and chill out! We are all friends here and let's try to remember that.

If someone wants to post frquently then thats his/her right. This is a forum about discussions and you don't have these if no one talks. Now Rob might be brash and rough around the edges but he is passionate and tries to get discussions going.

Now if you want to post frequently then go ahead, if not then thats fine too. Lets keep these discussions civil and try not to automatically interpret them in the most negative light. Give people reasonable doubt to thier intent.
