Can anyone tell me anything about the B-17 "Warbird Relics" has for sale? From the photos I've seen it almost looks like a "complete" set of airframe components - the photos of the wings and fuselage look like they are in different locations.
Thanks!

In one of the photos you can read that it says Weeks on the side of the fuselage. So that could narrow it down a lil. Perhaps 44-83722. The registry has the aircraft owned by Weeks but stored out in CA. So that might account for the different locations. Anyone else got better info?

The photo above is of the fuselage of 44-83316. Most of the rest of the parts are indeed from 44-83722. I'm not sure if that package is still available as rumors have it that it was sold to a Canadian group a few months ago. No further confirmation has been heard of that though.
The project, whoever owns it, is an extremely extensive rebuild. I think it would make the fourteen year effort to get 44-85734 back in the air look simple.

Hey Folks:
Make sure you use an escrot agent if you deal with them. A colleague has complained.

The P-51 project was formally owned by the late Keith Shell. Keith and his wife were killed in a T-6 crash. His estate sold the project to Tom Reilly and now the project is For Sale by Warbird Relics. This has nothing to do with another P-51 owned by Herman in Maine. Hermans aircraft is currently under restoration by Glen Wegman of Fighter Enterprises in Indiantown Florida.

Wasn't this Mustang the one that had the fatal crash on landing at Reno in the late 90's?
