I live and work very close to Moffet Field. I was walking to work about thirty minutes ago, the weather is rainy and theres a ceiling around a thousand feet. I hear a very loud, low jet noise, and turn around. Two A-6's at about 800 feet on downwind to Moffet. Freakin Awesome! They flew right over the top of me. I think that might be the first time I can remember seeing them fly. It was very cool. They had drop tanks, I think, on every pod. I also noticed that, on the very tip of the wings, it looks like there is a very small speed brake, additional control surface, something. When they opened up, it was red inside. I got to see all of the control surfaces work and the gear come down. I'm amped!
They must be Navy or Marine reserve aircraft. Hope you guy's day started as good as mine.
