Early 1960s F-104 Accident in New Mexico

Fri Mar 21, 2008 3:43 pm

Does anyone out there have any info on a F-104 crash near Albuquerque, NM around 1964? I don't have anything other than the year it is supposed to have happened and that the pilot ejected safely. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks,

James

James,

The following site lists a crash, with successful ejection from an F-104D on 28 May, 1964, 55mi W of Albuquerque:

Pretty interesting site...lists ejections by year....

Impressive. The early 60's were a dangerous time to fly.......

The USAF was dropping planes all over the place. If that had happened today, they would have grounded or stood everything down for about eternity..................

Thanks that is just what I needed. I've been looking for that information for a week. I should have asked here earlier and saved myself a lot of effort.
